Seeking More Information on HDL

I have a thread here seeking a new guild.  I have been reading your site, but I feel that HDL is pretty much an "end game" guild.  After looking over my 'wishlist' in the thread I linked, can any of you provide me with insight on whether or not HDL is truly the type of home I am seeking?

Well, let me take a shot.  There are a lot of people in HDL with a lot of different tastes in how we play.  Several of us enjoy endgame content and can sometimes spend hours doing 10 man ulduar stuff.

Several of us just enjoy running shit, no matter what it is, and will run naxx 10's or lots of heroics for kicks.

Sometimes, large amounts of us get it in us to do some world pvp.  Several people do do bg's.  Several of us do Arena's.  There are more than a few of us who do WG consitently.

Also, several of us are altoholics.  Infact, one member has at least 5 or 6 80's.

We don't have mandatory attendance policies for raids.  I mean, do be courteous and if you choose to come, put in the effort to it.  But real life takes presidence.

I hope I was able to answer some of your questions, and clear things up.  If you have additional questions, feel free to drop me a line in game.

Sounds good so far.  I too like to "casually" experience end game content.  But as you can see in my linked thread, I just recently came back, leaving my end game toons to now be lowbies compared to the 80's around.  That and being gone for a year has me even feeling like a newb since I don't know all this new content.  Hell I'm having to relearn some of my 70's completely since they were changed so much over the past year.

My only additional question is:  What's the ratio of the above type of players you described?  I guess that's the REAL issue I have.  I like all the types of players that exist, and I like to take part in all those things (end game, PVP, raiding, alt leveling, questing, etc.)  The problem is, I like all those things in moderation.  I prefer to split them up equally.  One week I will be on some lowbie alts in their 30's or 40's.  Next week I will be trying to (remember this was back before I quit) run ZA with my guild all weekend.  Then the next week I will be on an alt that is close to the level cap trying to squeeze out that last level.  And then the next week I will be on an all week long BG's orgy.

THAT is the key to what I am looking for.  A nice even mix of all of those things.

I thought I had found my home already.  I found some old friends that I have played alongside since day 1 here on ZJ.  But I was in my guild, they were in theirs.  We even let their guild use our Vent as their own (gave them seperate sections etc.).  So naturally when I returned to WoW I went to join their actual guild.

Come to found out, even knowing key members for so long, and doing so manh nice things for them all these years, they wanted me to fill out like a 40 question application with a "wanna-be" psych test in it etc. (ie.  Sometimes I want to scream at others [YES|NO], etc.)  It was almost comical.   Their GM and officers were entirely too egotistical, claiming they were the best guild in gaming history, yadda yadda yadda.  It made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

The point to that story ... I also want people who realize this is just a video game.  The friendships we make can be real.  But otherwise, this is just a means of entertainment, or communication.  Nothing more, nothing less.  I don't have time for elitism.

i am an elitist. but i can take jokes pretty well. as farm as our ratio of all things most of our people  like to raid but at the same time most of them will pvp at the hint of a group forming and we almost all have multiple alts.
