Some of my tips and thoughts:

• Remember to keep Bone Shield active at all times. A flat 2% more damage is 2% more damage.
• Be sure you have taken all three ranks of Reaping.
• Use Blood Strike to pop Death Runes, and then Scourge Strike your way to higher DPS.
• You should have the Glyph of Scourge Strike. Doing so will reduce how often you will need to use Icy Touch and Plague Strike to apply Frost Fever and Blood Plague, if at all. Be aware that some people disagree and consider IT and PS reapplication a better option.
• Strength and Attack Power are your most important abilities, followed by Critical Strike. Stacking Armor Penetration does not make much sense for Unholy DKs as their damage is not heavily physical. With the hit rating bonuses on standard gear, you should be hit capped pretty easily.
• Unleash the Gargoyle as often as you can. You want to build as much Runic Power before the summon, so watch the spell cooldown and your RP. While some players recommend just sitting on your RP until you can summon, I disagree. Between cooldowns, dump into Death Coil as needed.

Just asking a question about the above build.  Would this build help with more damage from icy touch?  I am think about changing my build again and taking the 3 points out of blood caked weapon and put two in on a pale horse and one in corpse explosion what do you think.  And if you like this build would the rotation still be PS, IT, BS, BS, SS rinse and repeat and dump with death coil?

You shouldn't NEED to rinse and repeat unless something goes wrong. Usually Glyph of SS should keep your PS and IT constantly up. If you get unlucky or the boss prevents you from using SS, then you do rinse and repeat.

If you are focusing on raid, the best spec will be 17/0/54 because of a couple of reasons. One is the threat reduction from Subversion, you should never skip a threat reduction talent if you have it. It will let you start DPSing quickly with no worry about threat (for the most part). The second reason is from the 5% crit chance talent. Wandering Plague gives your diseases a chance to crit, based on your crit. The crit you get will help with your personal DPS also. I'm sure there is more, but those two are important.

Based on how you specced in Unholy, you should probably drop Dirge and Ghoul Frenzy. Ghoul Frenzy is not really worth the Unholy rune and Dirge is not needed because Scourge Strike Spamming will give you plenty of Runic Power to work with. You should max Morbidity because Death Coil is actually pretty powerful and that extra 10% boost you are missing won't help. Also, Desecration is a very good talent for DK's. That extra 5% damage you get while standing in it is awesome, and you'll always have it under your feet.

That's all I remember from my DK days, I'm sure the other people can help you more. Lately, I wouldn't take any tips for DPS from me anyways...*sigh*

Lose Dirge, Nerves of Cold Steel, and Butchery, pick up Subversion and Desecration. Mixed feedback on Ghoul Frenzy - some use it as the closing attack, some hate it.

Your rotation should be what feels right and what works. I, like Mark, like to close the distance with an Icy Touch since it has range, slap a Plague Strike, and then start going to town.

Remember to save some RP for your Gargoyle.

Your build should also echo your gear. You have a great two-hander now. You should be loading up on talents that echo that. IMO, you should not focus on diseases in the Frost tree. You definitely should not have Nerves of Cold Steel (!!). I would definitely go with the builds Dave and I posted since they will boost damage from your weapon.

Is there an add on that I should be using for making my dps as a death knight more visual for me?

Vitandus

Based on the Ulduar 25 run, you need to keep the diseases up and running at all times. Since you've chosen to use a weapon with a lower top end damage, running with a 0/10/61 build may be a better choice. Unsure without you running the builds and doing the numbers on a training dummy.

This is my current build and I did just download the class timer add on so that I can make sure that I am keeping my diseases up I also re equipped cryptfiends bite  http://www.wowarmory.com/item-info.xml?i=40208 let me know if you think i should be doing anything else lol  all criticism is good.

flambe

Oh... I assure you that not all criticism is good.

For instance: Jon has a small penis.
Pat can only half drive.
Rick rapes cows.
Joe drinks sterno until he pukes then he freebases it.
James has one leg shorter than the other from standing on mountains too much.

With something like unholy.. I always think it is better to get the talents that generate more runic power.  The more runic power you generate, the more death coils you can shoot, the more damage you do.  It might be better to lose some of the points out of Bladed Armor, and put it in Dirge.  Frankly, especially with the change to the way Unholy Blight works, you might want to lose all of Bladed Armor, and fill out Wandering Plague as well, and also take either corpse explosion or Ghoul Frenzy.  More damage to trash plus an extra aoe or more damage to trash and more damage on a single target.

Those are just my thoughts though.
