Wanted to post this a while back, but of course, work is interfering.  Still at work, by the way.  Did I mention work sucks and that a lot of my co-workers are as dumb as two sticks?  'Why two sticks' you ask?  Because one stick could not be that God-Damned Dumb.


Anyway, the thought occurred to me the other day to start a fun post asking the guildies and friends of the guildies to list their own personal soundtrack they would theoretically play when PvP'ing.  You know, to help you get that adrenaline edge.  I'll eventually follow this post with another one listing mine.

For the times when I'm in a battleground by myself and I'm concentrating on being the silent gank rogue.  - 'Crawl Away' - Tool.  It has a nice menacing feel that slowly builds until I stick the knife in.

For the times when I'm in a battleground with one or two folks I know and I'm concentrating on being the angry combat rogue. - 'Killers' - Iron Maiden.  The song has a nice steady 'run and stab' beat to it.

For the times when I'm playing my Shaman,  'Angel of Death' - Slayer.  Fast and frenetic fun as I'm dropping earth shocks and lightning bolts on folks.



But this one... I'm saving for when I hit 70 and Pat and I start PvP'ing again like the good old days.  Because, as soon as he hears it, his hair will stand on end and he'll fly into a killing rage.  If you folks haven't noticed, Pat and I are both very, very angry people. For us, this song evokes the spirit of the hard-assed, working class, "All right, you've done fucked with me enough" mentality.  Play the chorus of this song, and we'll roll across the battlegrounds like a damned tea-bagging, ball kicking, bloodthirsty Bolshevik revolution...

(haven't been around much; sorry all, just been uber-busy with work and stuff these past 2 weeks)

For brainless farming, I like AC/DC.  There's WoW and there's WoW with "Back in Black" cranking at full blast.

For a boss fight... this is the 80's child in me, but just once I would like to play "You Got the Touch" by Stan Bush from the 1986 Transformers Movie right before a kick off a boss fight

"YOU'VE GOT THE TOUCH! YOU'VE GOT THE POWERRRRRRRR"  That would totally inspire everyone to play at 200%.

That or (shudder) "Eye of the Tiger" are both great and terrifyingly inspirational 80's power ballads that kick your game up a notch.  :)
