There are lots of good quests this year.

There is a new seasonal bos - Lord Ahune - who is similar to the Headless Horseman. Quick run into Slave Pens to unlock him. He has two phases:

Phase 1 - During the first phase, Ahune spawns adds which have to be taken down. You can not do any real damage to Ahune.

Phase 2 - Ahune submerges a la Ragnaros and you attack the Frozen Core that appears. After some time, the phases repeat. Simple enough battle.

Frostscythe of Lord Ahune
Icebound Cloak
Shroud of Winter's Chill
Scorched Stone (Pet)

Though I have a better weapon, I want that Sycthe for Nemhain. The War Cloak is not bad for DPS melee, the Icebound good for tanking, and the Shroud would be good for Aargh. I also want the scorched stone.

You have probably seen the festival has started. I went in on Ahune this AM on heroic, and as we assaulted my connection died. ::sigh::

You'll want good multi-target DPS for his adds. While they go down quickly, they do spawn all over the damned place, which can be a problem if the tank gets hit with the bounce. A healadin is a good solution - they can take the hits until the tank gets threat up. If you have single target DPS, put them on the big ice elementals with the tank. That will help you take care of the little ones later.

He's apparantly tough as shit on Heroic, too.  His entire loot table drops on normal, he just drops more loot on heroic mode, so I'd suggest going in on normal so you can farm him over and over.  The quest you get to summon him is a daily, however, so each player can only summon once per day.
