A while ago - a long while ago - I posted about the markings for kill order and CC for HDL. I think with all of the new tanks that we should ensure we're using a common system for our guildies.

The markings I commonly use:

* Skull is primary target and first on kill order.
* Cross is second target after the first is dead. It is where I am dumping the second amount of threat.
*Star is tertiary target, but this mark may be used for other purposes.
* Moon is mage's sheep target.
* Triangle is shaman's hex target.
* Circle is banish. If there are multiple toons capable of banishing or binding, I will use the star as secondary mark.
* Square is the trap target.
* Diamond is used for utility - the use of the mark may change as needed for a fight.

What do you use?

Skippy

Skull, Cross, Moon, and Square are all the same for me now.  I don't have anything set for any of the other CC's, but I tend to use the circle and triangle more because they are brighter and easier to see in a crowd.

T-Bird

I use the skull, cross, moon, triangle, and square as noted.  Can't stand it when I pug and it's different.  Confuses me LOL

I don't usually limit triangle to just hex. Triangle, for me, usually just means "shaman do your thing" whether that is hex or bind.

Do you know what "nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent;
personified in this case by a horrible cunt... me.

I usually end up doing a Hex and a Bind in many instances now for a single pull.

I don't trust you or other shamans to multi-task!

Yep, as a tank, mine are pretty similar:

SKULL: Main DPS target to kill.

CROSS: Secondary DPS target to kill.

STAR: Sap and or miscellaneous usage without a Rogue in the group.

TRIANGLE: Hex or Bind.

SQUARE: Trap.

MOON: Sheep or Hex (defendant on whether I define a Bind)

DIAMOND: Mind Control or miscellaneous use.

CIRCLE: Root, Cyclone or miscellaneous use.

I've pretty much run the same markings for forever and a day now.  Unless i specify otherwise I generally go with;

Skull and X are primary and secondary kill targets.

Star is sap

Moon is sheep

triangle is hex

Square is trap

Diamond is Repentance, banish, MC, or whatever other utility spell that may be available.
