Conjoined app for Tess and Jalor (Paly & Mage)

Character name(s), class(s), build(s), and level(s): We are a boyfriend/girlfriend couple hoping to join a guild together. This will be a conjoined application for both of us (hope that's okay!) Tessekai is a protection paly, 4 bars away from dinging 80. Jalor is a level 80 fire-spec'd mage. (PS, I am very open to respeccing Holy if necessary.)

Where did you hear about [HDL]? While doing the cage-fighting quests in Grizzly Hills, Mike and I ran into Acree and Vitandrus doing the quests as well. We grouped up and slammed the quests out together along with another non-guilded player.

Why do you want to join [HDL]? The two of us have been playing WoW together now for 3+ years on the Alliance side. When the WotLK came closer and closer, we decided that we'd had our fill of Alliance and rolled a couple Horde toons. We leveled pretty much all the way to 80 without really looking into guilds, but now that we are 80 we are hoping to find a laid-back, fun guild to join together where we can maybe get some raiding in eventually as well.

If you are in a guild, why are you leaving? We are not currently in a guild. However, a major factor in us deciding to leave the Alliance was the level of immaturity growing in the guild we were in at the time.

Will you dedicate 5 days a week to raiding? Extremely unlikely. We are both in (soon-to-be-in in my case) graduate school and we also coach our university's judo club four nights a week. Real life is priority to us, but we definitely would love to raid a couple nights a week when we can.

If you answered ""Yes" to the question above, are you aware that [HDL] is not a hard core raiding guild? Yes, I had a short conversation about it with Vitandrus in-game last night =)

Will you dedicate 2 nights a week to raiding? Two nights per week of raiding is ideal for us, yes. I can't guarantee that our RL obligations won't conflict, but when we are able to raid, we are very punctual and committed.

Addendum, 22 Dec 2008 - we are very full on DPS builds. If you are DPS, you will be on a longer rotation schedule than our tanks and healers. Not a problem. The Alliance guild we came from was fairly large and we are very accustomed to "waiting our turn" to raid.

You are headed to run an instance with non-guildies when you spot a flagged gnome. What is the proper course of action: 1) Ignore the gnome and head to the instance, 2) Send a message to the guild of your find. flag immediately, and kill the gnome, leaving the PUG to wait, or 3) neither. If you selected 3, what course of action would you take? Hahaha, I'd probably just let him be and get to my PUG, I don't like to leave people waiting if I can help it. If Jalor and I were together though, we might rough him up a little =)

Can you follow kill order? Absolutely. Mike has always been a Mage, and I was a Rogue once upon a time, so we're already trained in the fine arts of "watch your effin target"

We do require Omen and Deadly Boss Mods. Do you have these installed? We have Omen, and have experience using Deadly Boss Mods. We can have it installed asap.

Are you aware the [HDL] is largely a collection of angry and cynical players and under-geared toons? We're quick adapters =)

Really? Why do you still want to join [HDL] Like I said, now that we're 80, it's hard for us to have fun with the game with just the two of us. We need a fun group of people to goon around with and maybe raid with when we're ready. We're not raid-ready right now since we just recently dinged 80, but we love instancing, especially with friendly people. We're excited to join a guild where we can get to know friendly people like that =)

Hehe, maybe I should clarify what I meant by the "growing immaturity" in our old Alliance guild. The issue wasn't silliness/teasing/poking fun, it was selfishness. We have no problems with good-natured ribbing, and we might even start firing back at ya once we've gotten to know you =)
