In reading some of the patch notes it looks like we will all have to put our talent points back in. I might need a little help with this once I get on the game. If you are willing to help please let me know.
Should be pretty easy.

Seriously? You've been a progressionist for how long, now? At the very least you should know how to spec your main toon and
why. If you don't understand the basic mechanics of your class after Pat, Mark, and Asian Dave have spent hours going over the points of DK dps, both broad and fine, maybe you should play on your mage less and spend more time reading and
learning rather than waiting for someone to do the thinking for you.
You're not a new DK anymore, so I am personally begging you to quit acting like it.
Thank you very much Joe for your well though out reply. I don't know what I would do in HDL without your concern. You make the game worth playing. ;D

I know. You're welcome.
I don't know how sarcastic either of your replies were, but I'd have to echo Joe's sentiments about this.
To be on topic though, I'll need a few days, because I don't speculate on patch notes and PTR, I just work with the live server. I'm leaning towards frost DW, but if it isn't up to my laziness standard, I might go back to a modified Unholy spec. Blood is also highly competitive at the upper gear range.
I don't think Joe was being sarcastic at all. I know I wouldn't have been if I had said it.
Alright, everybody ease up. She did say:

Emphasis mine.
I don't see anything in there saying "if you are not willing to help, please give me shit."
Sherri is indeed trying to be a progressionist. If memory serves me, she also is juggling a real life with a husband and (I believe) 3 kids. Most of you don't have anywhere near that kind of real life responsibility to worry about outside of this game. The reason I'm not a progressionist is because there's no god-damned way I could juggle real life and remember every fucking facet of this game. A fellow guildie is asking for help. Gently reminding her that the information she needs is on the site is okay. Giving her a well intended hard time is okay. We don't need to be assholes to each other. It's a game.
And please don't follow this with postings to the effect of "but she's a progressionist, she's supposed to know this stuff by now" Yes, you are right. She's a progressionist and she's supposed to know this stuff by now. She might be distracted by a sick kid, or something wrong at work, or needing to get medicine for that sick kid, etc. We all forget things. Sometimes we need to ask questions repeatedly (or answer questions repeatedly).
Sherri, I usually printscreen my talent tree once I get it where I want it, so I don't have to remember where I put all of those talent points. There are a lot of places online that will let you design a talent tree and then print the output. Google "WoW Talent Tree calculator" to find them. The posts for all of the information on Death Knights can be found by clicking on "Forum" next to "Home" near the top of this page. Then scroll down to the section "Death Knight" and click on it, you'll get a list of every post dealing with Death Knights ever put on this forum. Make tea, it's a lot of reading. I also take notes and keep them in a notebook beside my PC, so I can remember why I did something that I know is going to confuse me later. - I also absolutely suck at math, so when these geniuses (who can do real math in their heads and refuse to realize I'm an idiot), tell me to calculate my critical strike by using an algorithm based on the tidal charts and the position of Mars in the Constellation of Sagittarius (not really, but it sounds just as confusing to me as the real math involved) I write it down. Keep at it. I applaud your attempt to try and be a progressionist with all of the real life things you must have to deal with. You're absolutely crazy.
Let me follow this up by saying that I'm not personally trying to chastise anyone who posted in this thread. Okay? I, of course, am the last person to tell anyone how to play WoW. If I indicated that I wanted to be considered as a progressionist I'd be laughed out of the room.
For example, Joe recently had to tell me that my rogue spec was severely fucked up (and he was right) because I simply didn't pay attention to the fine print in one of the talents. Basically I had points in "Close quarters combat" which I assumed to mean melee, but instead meant using daggers, which was completely useless for me as a sword rogue. Indeed I need to lrn2play this game. - I simply can't devote the time to it right now and I need to realize that. - and I do. If I made the same mistake in re-populating my talent trees after this latest patch, and I asked Joe, and he found the same problem. I'd expect him to call me an idiot for doing it again, but tell me what the problem was. If I made the same mistake a third time..... Joe should kick me in the balls.
The reason we have Raid/Loot/Progression councils is for the decisions to be made on a players status that will not require posts that can cause confusion, hurt feelings and misunderstandings. If a player isn't pulling their weight, or listening to advice and instruction, the place to determine the fallout of a players actions is by vote in the councils. If I asked for progression status, I'd expect every one on the councils to vote "No". If after the vote, I wanted to cry "unfair" about it, I'd better be prepared to deal with everyone telling me my faults in not so gentle terms.
In this situation, I obviously do not know all of the details, and I may just need to learn to shut my damned mouth. I'm only trying to make sure that we don't stomp on each other without good reason.
Capuloclavo, that was a great tip about printing a copy of my talent spec. I am going to do that! I second your suggestion of a notebook. A couple of months ago I started keeping one when I noticed that I was having to look up the same information multiple times (for example how many hit points I needed to reach the hit percentage I was trying to achieve). I really find that jotting these things down helps me out! I also use it to make notes on gear I would like to get in instances and any other info I want to ensure I remember.
I highly recommend anyone having issues keeping their talent trees organized look into a mod called Talented (http://www.wowace.com/addons/talented/). It will let you save spec templates for all of your characters, import builds from Wowhead/Armory/Official site and allow one-button application of the spec. A must have mod, IMO.
Ohh, good to know. Thanks for posting about that Wildcard!
