My expected build for Vitandus as a tank. Very Blood heavy:

Unholy DPS - maybe:

I think the rotation for DK tanks will be:
IT, PS, DS, HS, HS (or BB), HB, DS, DS, HS, HS. I put DS ahead in the rotation for the healing and absorption.
I'm really excited to try these changes!
Plan on trying this out for DW Frost Dps

My brain is failing, what's HB? All I can think of is Howling Blast but that's in Frost.
My mistake, Joe. That should be HW (HoW), not HB.
Hey Pat,
Once cata comes out are they going to be changing the DK gear so that it is more tailored to the spec that you choose to play with? Do you even know or are we all going to have to wait till after the first week of December to actually find out lol.
Specs are about the same for Frost and Unholy in terms of gear. If you need to tweak, Reforge away.
Soggy asked me about Festering Strike (http://cata.wowhead.com/spell=86061/festering-strike) in 4.0.1. I was not sure, as I have not DPSed with Vitandus at all lately. Asian Dave was kind enough to tank for me tonight, and here are my thoughts.
First off, Scourge Strike (http://cata.wowhead.com/spell=55090) is down to just one Unholy rune where it used to cost one Frost and one Unholy. This means Blood Strike with it's one Blood rune isn't optimal any more. Festering Strike uses one Blood and one Frost, making it optimal. It also refreshes diseases, making it perfect for single target DPS.
Unholy does not get a lot of choice in 4.0.1. My Primes are Death Coil, Raise Dead, and Scourge Strike, all self-explanatory. Major glyphs are Pestilence, Anti-Magic Shield, and Strangulate - Blood Boil will help you do more damage in PVE, but I like Strangulate since I PVP and it is still useful in PVE. Pick whatever for minor - I chose Blood Tap for the slight health cost reduction over the course of a fight, Raise Ally for lulz, and Resilient Grip since I often DG in battlegrounds and even in Heroics. Death's Embrace is a good choice since you do have to heal your Ghoul with it - that suber abom sometimes pulls threat. Path of Frost is a good choice for me since my #1 cause of death outside of raids is falling. Horn of Winter is useless now - we should be pushing that button regularly to keep our RP up.
Rotations don't work, as with most classes and specs. Going to a priority system is clearly better after even one dungeon's worth of numbers. Super Abom (Dark Transformation), Scourge Strike, Festering Strike, Death Coil with Sudden Doom, in that order. Obviously, we need to keep diseases up, so IT and PS should open - and Festering Strike will keep them applied.
Haste, haste, haste. Just watching the effect haste does was amazing. Reforge for haste if you can. Stay in Unholy for more haste.
If I get a chance, I'll play more and offer more feedback on what I see.
From what I read last night and played around a bit, Festering strike will be more for unholy and pvp. As frost I'd rather save the frost rune for Obliterate.
Oh, also remember expertise cap is now 23, not 26. It may give you a few points to play with when reforging.
