It's all about directed and generalized delivery of offensive content, being aware of your audience, knowing the rules, and using your target's rage against him. I generally let someone lash at at something innocuous I've said so I can open up without too much concern over any GM backlash. Rod and I start trash talking each other and someone wants to join in and target one of us in a BG - I consider that open season.
You sit in general chat and spam anus and penis over and over, you'll get banned. You tell someone in a BG that his poor use of grammar and inability to play might mean that his mother and you might be related since she obviously had a retarded baby, and it seems you're fine.
