Character name(s): Eblees, Aeshmadaeva
class: Rogue, Priest
level: My rogue is Currently 75, working towards 80. My priest is 64, gonna lvl him after my rogue.
Player name: Nima
Player age: 25
Where did you hear about [HDL]: umm I was looking for a guild to join on my rogue and came across this guild.
Why do you want to join [HDL]: Looking for a guild that shows up on time for a raid and doesnt have elitist members. Iam looking to have fun and see content, make new friends and have fun.
Will you dedicate 5 days a week to raiding? No. Sorry I am married and have a full time job so i cant raid 5 days a week.
If you answered ""Yes" to the question above, are you aware that [HDL] is not a hard core raiding guild?
Will you dedicate 2 nights a week to raiding?
Yes. I am looking to raid on friday nights and saturday nights. These are my ideal times but we will see how the schedule turns out. I have every other friday off aswell.
You are headed to run an instance with non-guildies when you spot a flagged gnome. What is the proper course of action: 1) Ignore the gnome and head to the instance, 2) Send a message to the guild of your find. flag immediately, and kill the gnome, leaving the PUG to wait, or 3) neither. If you selected 3, what course of action would you take?
I will go with number 1.
A tea bag is 1) a small porous bag containing tea leaves or powdered tea, onto which boiling water is poured in order to make a drink of tea, or 2) a verb.
It depends it can be both. I dont think it is appropriate to explain the verb here.
Does .Net suck? if you are refering to battle.net which was used in Diablo era, no it doesnt.
Whiskey or whisky? I dont drink so dont really care. whichever.
Rank in importance to you: Raiding, Fun, PVP, Loot, Camaraderie, Wine, Women/Men, Music, Altaholism, Crafting.
Fun comes first, then raiding and pvp. Dont care much about loot, crafting or alts. The rest are personal prefernces which i dont think are related to this application.
Can you follow kill order? Yes
We do require Omen and Deadly Boss Mods. Do you have these installed? I should have them already
Are you aware the [HDL] is largely a collection of angry and cynical players and under-geared toons? no i was not aware that guild members were angry and cynical. That raises some concerns and questions. iam not looking for a geared guild and all that my character is under geared aswell.
Really? Why do you still want to join [HDL]:
Looking for a guild that's punctual when it comes to raiding. Iam a punctual person and expect other people to value their words and show up on time and prepared for raids. As I said before iam looking for a guild that wants to have fun, raid and see content.
wow gl with that. lol. that is definetly not us ;D we have issues with everything he/she was looking for in a guild. lol
we are not punctual, we are angry/cynical and VERY vulgar. most of our raiders are in 80 blues if not epics. and we constantly harass each other on topics from horse porn to eating dog cakes.
Hi, Nima, welcome to our web site.
As you may have determined from the application and the responses, we may not be the best fit for you. Feel free to ping me or any of our guild of misfits (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolph_the_Red-Nosed_Reindeer_(TV_special)#The_Island_of_Misfit_Toys) in-game.
hmmmm there is one thing that iam curious about. it seems that u guys are not punctual or ever on time, so how do u guys raid then??? let's say if there is a raid scheduled for 8 pm server time, u guys wont show up till like 9 or 10?? how does the raiding/ pvp/ arena work in your guild? how do u manage to get the raids ready?
I dont know about you guys but I have a certain time schedule that i dedicate to wow and i schedule my playtime around that. knowing the raid schedule and the accuracy of the shcedule matters to me.
The rest doesnt really concern me.
Oh, we're punctual, since we're not rude. However, we're a guild of adults, so this is how it goes:
We start mustering at 20:15.
One of our members is in emergency services and won't be able to make it until 20:45, which is still in time for the raid.
We get more to join raid at 20:30.
At 20:38, I get a work call.
At 20:40, someone's child just stuck an eggplant in his nostril. The parent(s) have to take care of that.
It's 20:45, and someone's cat/dog/child has just vomited. The parent(s) have to go take care of that.
Now ten minutes to 21:00, and the first parent is back.
21:55 - I return from my work call.
21:56 - Doctors across the USA can not retrieve vital medical information. The Internet must be down. Another member steps away from the computer to take care of that.
22:01 - A guildie notices we're running over and steps away to get a drink.
22:05 - The parent(s) are back from cleaning vomit.
22:06 - Guildie comes back to computer with a drink and food.
22:08 - Guildie is home from work. We invite.
22:09 - Doctors are now all fixed.
22:11 - We zone in.
22:11:01 - I get a work call.
22:16 - I am back from my work call.
That's how our schedules go.
Now, a question from us to you - why are you leaving your current guild? What can you bring to the guild? If you checked us out on Armory (you did check us out, right?), you'll note we're heavy on melee DPS. Are you going to be fine with sitting out due to melee DPS rotation?
Err make those 22:00 times 21:00.
Even though its true, Pat's time frame cracks my shit right up, lol.
And I still don't know what dog cakes are.
Dog cakes for who no like cat lo mein.
in response to your question:
I am actually not leaving any guild cause i was never in one. I was in a raiding guild way before TBC came out. I didnt do any raids in TBC yes not even Kara casue my schedule didnt allow time for raiding, so i only focused on arena and pvp. I re-rolled on Zuljin near the end of TBC and lvled these 2 characters. I recently joined a random guild cause an invite was sent to me as i was putting stuff on AH, so i thought WTH i will just click join.
What I bring to the guild? hmmm nothing that other poeple cant or probably they do it better than me anyway cause i dont have TBC raid experience and mostly iam looking to learn. I do know my class pretty well since i have played a rogue for 4 years now.
I did not check your guild on the armory. Like i said i came across this guild completely randomly. this phrase got my attention when i searched for a horde guild on google, "the angriest guild on Zuljin", so kinda curiosity brought me to this site. I saw an open status on the site for rogue class and i applied.
I did not know that you guys are heavy on melee dps but iam not really surprised so is every other guild.
I am fine with sitting out due to melee rotation. heck most likely i wont be even on or i wont be able to stay on long enough to raid if you guys are raiding on weekdays. I do not expect a raid spot right away cause 1) iam not 80 2) i wont be 80 for a while probably lol 3) i dont have the gear yet 4) dont have raid exp in TBC

It might make you happy to know that there is an officer in this guild who is in pretty much the same boat, (me).

I have to agree with Pat. I think you may have found your guild.
I think the point we always try to get across to folks applying is that real life
always trumps WoW; even on a scheduled raid. We really get annoyed at folks who scream at fellow guild-mates when they're late to a raid because of real life issues, and we don't really tolerate it. On the other hand, we get really angry when we're all on-time, but one of the raid members decides they need to go grease the hinges on the garage door, or run out to the store for some mustard for their sandwich. As Pat said, we're not rude so we try to avoid the "trivial" real-life issues when folks need us to be on time.
I laughed at your post, I thought it was great. Those of us who are married can understand that sometimes life, children, work, and the all powerful "Wife-Faction" as Pat calls it, trumps any raid schedule set up by the Guild; and if any single, non-working no-lifer tells you otherwise... Fuck 'em.
Let me add...
Like Tulion stated above we are extremely vulgar at times and very politically incorrect.
Whatever your religious preference, racial background, or cultural identity - you will be made fun of. Just be sure to give back as good as you get, we're all fair targets, and pretty laid back about it.
Case in point: I am a cracker assed honky from West Virginia. I am made fun of regularly by the guild about being an ignorant, backwards, sister fucking redneck who has copious amounts of sex with various farm animals. I am accused of taking breaks between raids so that I can go fornicate with one of the several dogs I own. I once got confused over which animal I was accused of fucking, because I believed I was accused of fucking a cow and I counted 8 tits (Cows have 4, dogs have 8). The Guild laughed at me about this for weeks.
I am also accused of being a child eating Satan worshiper because I say things that are so frighteningly violent they make Muslims run crying to their Imams, Jews run sobbing to their Rabbis, Christians run screaming to their Priests, and the Devil wonder if a new boss has moved into town.
Personally, I think it's all pretty damned funny. Feel free to call me an inbred Satan worshiping pig fucker, I'll laugh. Just remember, that's the kind of guild we are.
Welcome to Horde Defense League. The Angriest Guild on Zul'Jin.
