Unless you're applying for a job in the computer gaming industry, why would you put MMOs on your resume?

I think the implication is that Employers are now inquiring about whether or not prospective employees play MMO's.  They don't expect to see it in your resume', but they seem to be inadvertently asking if you play.

hobbies are irrelevant to the interview process unless your applying for a job within that hobby.  There are many questions that employers are not allowed to ask.  There are many more that interviewees are not required to answer if the information does not pertain to the job.

alternatively if the question does arise of "what do you do in your free time?" the easy answer is to say you enjoy spending time with friends and family.  This would keep you from implicating your self in any mmo stereotype that may be growing in the professional world concern any game.

For the record if a question does arise that does not pertain to the job your interviewing for the most appropriate response would be "that question does not pertain to the skills i possess within the field or the benefits i can bring to the staff if hired."

I think employers will need to becareful about being caught in active discrimination against people who enjoy particular hobbies.  In this lawsuit crazy world it won't be long until something of this nature is brought before a judge.

/end rant.

Unfortunately, if you're applying for a job with a clearance requirement, that answer won't fly.  Especially if you're going to get an Polygraph with lifestyle examination...
