I have not healed in a long time, so any updates or more info from the dedicated healers would be appreciated.
Healbot Continued (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/heal-bot-continued.aspx)
Grid (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/grid.aspx) with Clique (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/clique.aspx)
Decursive (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/decursive.aspx)
Whatever you like. Grid +Clique for me. But I've been using mouseover and Shift-V as well. So, pick one and use it, really.
Good discussion on addons. Don't Rely on them, but you use them to help you.

If you have Healbot why would you need Grid/Clique?
As for Decursive, I like SmartBuff (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10891-SmartBuff.html) and SmartDebuff (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10657-SmartDebuff.html) better. And you can remove debuffs with Healbot as well.
Healbot and Grid/Clique do effective the same thing, yeah. I don't use Healbot myself. And I customize Grid quite a lot to help give the info I need quickly. Last time I used Healbot, it couldn't do (and I really tried) what I needed it to do. Couldn't add custom debuffs/buffs nor any of the priorities I use with Grid (which really hurt) and Healbot takes up too much space and not able to make it look like I wanted it to look.
I use Grid/Clique for dispells as well as healing. Combined with stuff like GridRaidDebuff and adding custom debuffs to Grid along with GridAlert, you have some very nice display options that are IMO better than SmartDebuff or Decursive. But it is all about what you like and get used to. As well as what works for you.
Healbot wasn't around when I started raid healing back in classic. Neither was mouseover. Then I used CTRaid frames since it was all you could use at the time for raid frames. I've tried a lot of different setups and addons for healing over the years now. My advice to anyone is keep it simple and use what makes you better at it. Not all addons work for everyone the same way. And information overload is bad, so keep things clean and at your personal level of detail.

You would not need both. The list is simply that, a list, and I hoped to spark some discussion. ;)

Those were fun days back in AQ40/Naxx40 with that. Those bugs with the poison in AQ20 were trivial. All the poisons (since I play a Shaman) were pound the decursive key exercises. Heal, decurse, heal, decurse, etc. It was too easy, though. And I am glad they took out the ability to do it. Prioritizing dispels is one thing that separates good healers and teh n00bs.

this is true, but it made it so much easier to be a lazy good healer
i myself prefer Healbot when i do heal, and if anyone has issues or wants to know how to do somehting feel free to as i have it down to a science now :) I Bind all my heals and buffs to it and with an Alt Click of my mouse can pop my cooldowns that easy. i tried Grid/clique back in the day and hehe i guess it works both ways, when your used to one i couldnt get t to do what i wanted hehe :) Although you need to have SOME healing addon if your going to be a raid healer, or be jesus, regardless of how often you do it. its not easy keeping up with all the shit that needs to be efficient and a viable raid healer. Or if you want to do your own thing at least have a decursing mod, it is not tanks/ or rets jobs to decurse when healers cant get crap together lol im tried of hearing oh you cant just have one person dispelling disease on heigan , bc you can , ive done it. so go get addons!

Can't you drop a totem for this? I only ask because I'm pretty sure you guy have a shammy and maybe you hadn't thought of it. It makes it pretty easy. /2cents ;D
Tolgark - our shaman - has been sick recently, so we don't always have the luxury of easy totem magic.
WTB more healers. Don't you guys in Escape have a few too many healers?
We'll give you Chuck for a healer... ;)

Disease Cleansing helps, and I drop it pre-pull if doing 10 man, but things to realize.
1 - The only people getting diseased on Heigan should be melee/tanks. If more are, then he is being positioned and transitioned badly. Especially casters/healers getting it is bad.
2 - Heigan needs to be moved across the room. The range on cleansing totems is 30 yards. Dropping the totem in the middle almost covers the entire kiting range.... almost. It helps, but spot cleanses are needed. Ideally, an enh shammy can drop it while he DPSs. Sometimes you can drop it at the base of the platform, though, if the tank is going to be kiting him in an arc.
3 - Cleansing totems pulse every 5 seconds, IIRC. That can be too long for some. So, spot cleansing is needed.
4 - Cleansing totems only work within the group and are not raid wide. Since I am almost always in the healy group for 25 mans, I don't normally drop it when we do him. 10 mans, I usually drop into the tank/melee group for the fight, though. Disease Cleanse on normal phase + healing stream on dance phase helps.
We have both a resto and enh shaman so we got totems coming out our ears. ;) And we're only doing 10 mans so that's what I was referring to. Are you guys doing full guild 25s now?
@Pat
Not sure who chuck is but we've got 3 healers. Lucky for us they're all very regular. What we need are some mages or locks.

Not sure if you are asking me or Pat. But to clarify....
Asylum has been doing 25s officially for a couple weeks (we had some SLOW levelers) and has everything but EoE (Malygos) on farm. And he is not far off. Before the holidays, we were doing some unofficial 25 mans (when we could get most of the 80s on at the same time) and a lot of 10 mans.
Pre-WotLK, we were up to KJ in Sunwell.

Chuck is a warlock. Sounds like we have a trade in place.

Get back to us when he's over 2.5k DPS.

Ah, didn't know you were in Asylum. Thought you were a member of HDL.

Have 2 alts in HDL. Oneear is in Asylum. I'm the healing coordinator atm.
Good friends with Kellanon, Cap, and Flambe. Kellanon asks me to comment when I can.
For as long as I've been healing, I've never used any type of healing mod or any decursive style mod. The closest I've ever come to it is using custom raid unit frames, but the most they will do is tell me if someone has a debuff on them, and in that case I just click and cleanse. Being forced to heal without any crutches like that taught me to be more selective how and who I heal, because not everyone with the lowest percentage of health needs to be on my priority heal list. It's the same with cleansing debuffs, there are certain people I cleanse first, and some I don't cleanse at all (but that's getting into group dynamics). There are very few things that I need to know for myself that I can't figure out from my raid frames, or from just looking at the playing field.
