Where did you hear about [HDL]?
Initially? The Horde Defense League has been around Zul'jin almost as long as I have. Recently? Recruitment spam in the trade channel.
Why do you want to join [HDL]?
I'm new to healing, especially in raids, and I have been assured a tantalizing combination of casual atmosphere, mature players, and understanding raid leaders who can both help me see the new raid content and suck less.
If you are in a guild, why are you leaving?
I am currently in a guild I made for myself that is just the English translation of my Swedish character name, which means "danger shepherd." I made the guild so that I could run around Outland and Northrend with a little subtitle. I'm only leaving it because I assume it would be wildly inconvenient to have a member of HDL actually belong to a different guild. Chatting would be...complicated.
Will you dedicate 5 days a week to raiding?
I could probably swing 5 days of raiding in a week every now and again, but I would not say I will be "dedicated" to it, no.
If you answered ""Yes" to the question above, are you aware that [HDL] is not a hard core raiding guild?
N/A (I chose not to delete this question from the application entirely just because I wanted an excuse to use "N/A".)
Will you dedicate 2 nights a week to raiding?
That I can do, yeah.
You are headed to run an instance with non-guildies when you spot a flagged gnome. What is the proper course of action: 1) Ignore the gnome and head to the instance, 2) Send a message to the guild of your find. flag immediately, and kill the gnome, leaving the PUG to wait, or 3) neither. If you selected 3, what course of action would you take? A/N: I removed the second question because my answer is virtually identical.
The third option. If I were on my rogue, I would certainly attempt to kill the gnome, die horribly, and then keep silent about my terrible shame, citing a death by falling and urging the PUG to ignore my new PvP status, claiming skullduggery. As my healer, I would probably taunt him, flag, and then attempt to heal myself until he either got bored with hitting me and left or was killed by someone else.
A tea bag is 1) a small porous bag containing tea leaves or powdered tea, onto which boiling water is poured in order to make a drink of tea, or 2) a verb.
Both. Green tea with citrus is more delicious, though.
Does .Net suck?
I don't really care. To the person who included this question: does comic sans make you angry, too? Take a deep breath, it'll be okay.
Whiskey or whisky?
Again, both. In large, occasionally startling quantities at vaguely inappropriate times. Lately I've had mostly whisky because it's worse and cheaper.
Rank in importance to you: Raiding, Fun, PVP, Loot, Camaraderie, Wine, Women/Men, Music, Altaholism, Crafting.
Whisky (no wine), Fun, Music, Camaraderie, Women, Raiding, Loot, "Altaholism", Crafting, PvP.
Please provide a perl script that will sort a CSV file by first column, then second, and then insert into a mysql database.
I gave up comp sci as a major before I ever got anywhere near perl. I can (and will) quote Chaucer in vent, though.
Can you follow kill order?
I can, but I would hope I don't need to as my healer.
We do require Omen and Deadly Boss Mods. Do you have these installed?
Yes.
Are you aware the [HDL] is largely a collection of angry and cynical players and under-geared toons?
Yes.
Really? Why do you still want to join [HDL]
Because [HDL] is largely a collection of angry and cynical players [with] under-geared toons. (Poetic license; it read a little better my way.)
I laud your assertion that whisky is worse than whiskey.
We'll look for you in-game. Feel free to drop any of us a line to get you pointed to an officer.

Several of your answers made me smile. And I do hope you quote Chaucer. If you don't, I will be sad.
