Title: HDL mass emails
Post by: Tessekai on Sun, 2009-02-15 : 17:41
Hey guys, I just wanted to point out that I got an email from "Blizzard" today stating that I was under suspicion of attempting to sell my account. The email also stated that I should visit a provided hyperlink to verify my account information. This email was obviously a fake, as the provided URL was in no way linked to Blizzard's official site, and there were several spelling errors in the body of the email.

I also noticed that the mailing list for the email contained many HDL member email addresses. Please watch out for this.

I noted that as well and locked down the forums even more. Members should disable public display of their email address in their profiles.

Yeah I got that one too. Even thought it's pretty well written, they didn't bother to spoof/hide the 'login' url...

Please Complete the information in http://wow-europas.1gb.ru/...

Sad. Otherwise I would have given those crazy russian kiddies more credit for a slick scam.

Ya i jus got that shit today too. Thankfully my comp's security lvl is top-notch cuz it grabbed that damn thing and closed it down and locked out the mail source from my accidental activation. Guess they cant take the time to lvl 80's by themselves.
