Affliction is better IMO
I like the damage reduction talents; not sold on Chaos Bolt in PVP since there is a 2s cast time. Try it out, though - with the chaos of Wintergrasp it may work well for you!
I picked up chaos bolt because of its buffed damage and the reduced cast time when backdraft is applied and the fact that it cant be resisted or blocked which will negate any resiliance out there, the spec has some nice burst damage but its taking me a bit to learn actually using destro being used to affliction, the problem with affliction being the dot reduction and the fear nerf which was a big part of PvP as affliction, the idea now is to nuke em as fast as possible, im not sure, ill be trying it in WG and anywhere else I can and may try out a different affliction spec
once combat starts i try to get off an immolate followed by conflag then Chaos bolt asap after that, then its CoA/Corr or incin if i have time to cast
SL and molten core help for some nice damage reductions though, and with fel armor, a possible void sac and shadow ward i have some good damage mitigation
now i just need some practice
And Glyph of Shadowflame (http://thottbot.com/s63311)
which makes shadowflame slow targets by 30%
which will help greatly when combined with demonic teleport for melee kiting
