Used by someone in one of the top progression USA guilds. His GL told me he's cranking DPS like mad.

Clozern of Ensidia, as talented for their world first Yogg-Saron (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jfVMZZfMhILcdxcqMcsut:LbrmV0)
Updated frost:
Clozern's alternate Frost build (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jfVMZGzxxAbczf0VostfM0o:askVmM)
I'm currently using this build:
17/0/54 (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jfVMVZZfMhIxcb0cqMcsut)
It's focused on single-target damage, with steadier damage output as opposed to bursty numbers. It's a good boss killing spec to me, with a simple rotation and very little disease downtime.
The only thing I haven't figured out with the spec is whether to use blood presence or unholy presence. I don't take the time to test things, but I currently use unholy presence. The issue I've noticed is that there is dead time when I'm waiting for rune cooldowns, due to the 33% decrease in gcd time, but only a 10% decrease in rune cooldown time. I am unsure if using blood presence will provide more dps due to having less cooldown time, even with the increased damage.
The thinking is still Blood for Unholy, and Unholy for Blood. I've not tried it as I am just tank/tank. When I change my spec, I'll post what I find.
I'm using the build listed above for Clozern of Ensidia. Just hit 80 recently on my DK, picked up a couple of crafted epics and I am already hitting almost 2k dps on heroic 5man bosses.
Here is an alternative spec to the one I posted:
0/13/58 (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jZG0x0hZfMhIxcbLcqMcsut)
It has a greater focus on the frost and shadow damage, which improves disease damage, as well as the damage from bcb and necrosis. The one point in impurity can be moved to frost for lichborne, but that's personal preference. I personally won't use this spec because I rarely ever use IT or PS.
This is the one I was using last night in Nax 25 and was pulling 3k

What is the rotation you are using for doing your damage. I am using pretty much the same build and would like to know what you are throwing at the target first. Thanks for the help.
Icy Touch, Plague Strike, (Pestilence), Death and Decay, Scourge Strike, Blood Strike, Blood Strike and repeat Scourge as you pop Death Runes with Blood Strike. Save to 100 RP, dump into a Gargoyle, immediately Strike for more RP, and hammer with Death Coils.
Been thinking about this build:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jfVMVh0Isfof0stZfMhhxM:GILMVm
Blood DPS, stack ArP, and essentially the same rotation, except with Heart Strike and Death Strike, and reapplying diseases as needed. Save for Dancing Rune Weapon. Death Coils will pop automagically.

Pat that build you are looking at, is it more tank than dps or am I just totally confused. Which build is more tank? I would really like to kick up my DPS as a DK and I am willing to change my spec and move things around so that I can crank out the dps. Any help for you and the rest of the guild would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The posted build (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jfVMVh0Isfof0stZfMhhxM:GILMVm) is a Blood DPS spec. I am currently Unholy DPS, but I am likely going to move over to Blood DPS to give it a shot. The differences between Unholy and Blood DPS in raids:
• Unholy DPS is heavy on disease damage.
• Unholy DPS is more dependent on ghoul damage.
• Blood DPS is more strike heavy, and much more dependent on the weapon and Armor Penetration (ArP).
I like Unholy since it is a different feel than strike-heavy Blood. The latter is very much like Retribution Paladin damage and I wanted to try something different for a while. The 400+ hit rating is also amusing.
All of the trees are viable for DPS. The important thing is to find a playstyle that you enjoy.
Pat,
I am trying out an unholy build and I would like to know your rotation please so that I can get my dps up. Also of my ghoul out most of the time or not? Just wondering.
Jumping in here since my Alliance (omg noooo) DK rocks the DPS meter with almost no good gear at all.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Trollbane&n=Cemetery
With my junky gear I still got about 2.6k-3k DPS in Naxx in a 10 man. I was only destroyed by another Unholy DK that had all 25 man gear. Once you get the gear, Blood or Frost start to overtake it due to Obliterate or Heart Strike...but the Shadow damage from Scourge Strike is godly.
My rotation was PS>IT>BS>BS>SS and then it depended on the glyph of Scourge Strike after that. What I did after that was SS>SS then if the glyph did activate from those two SSs, I used the Death Runes from BS for another SS. If the glyph did not activate, I did the first rotation again using the Death Runes for PS and IT and continued from there. I always did the double BS in a row no matter what in order to keep the two Death Runes next to each other for either the PS>IT or SS. I never used the Frost or Unholy runes for PS or IT after the first rotation (unless I got a really unlucky streak, then I did).
The ghoul needs to be out as much as possible. He could get up to about 500-600 DPS on his own (raid buffed for 10 man) so he packed a punch. Keep Gnaw (or whatever the stun one is) off auto cast because it wastes a lot of energy for like 100 damage. I kept Leap on auto cast though, because that move made the ghoul nearly impossible to get off. I have Ghoul Frenzy but I only used it if I was not able to be in melee but my pet could (like on KT, or some Horsemen, etc.).
I think that's all...oh and make sure to keep Unholy Blight on almost all of the time. It's relatively cheap for a good chunk of DPS (like 150-200).

Exactly as Turducken said. If you're Unholy, your ghoul is a large part of your DPS. I always do IT>PS>Blood>Blood>Scourge and go to town. Since you have the Glyph of Scourge Strike, you almost never have to reapply IT or PS.
I have switched over to Blood DPS and am enjoying it. I am at 20-23% Armor Penetration now which seems to be the magic number to consider switching. My multimob DPS is lower since I don't have as powerful Blood Plague and Frost Fever or the spell love of Ebon Plague and Desecration. My single target DPS is higher and my PVP damage is brutal on clothies. As a side note, my PVP damage on armored targets varies - Scourge Strike is Unholy damage whereas Heart Strike is Physical.
Yeah, once I saw your gear last night I can just imagine that Blood is insane for you. I love the 51pter for Blood but I never got the gear for it. :(
