best course of action for me?

so, i have been pondering doing some pve, just to get some gear so i can help with naxx25 etc if need be. i am not looking to be awesome at it or anything, but i want to be able to do acceptable dps or tanking.

so...

i have mostly pvp gear (tier 2 purples and such) and i have a decent tanking gear set. so my question is the following:

whats the best course of action for me in regards to spec and where to go for gear? i think unholy provides the best dps option for what i have, but i am not sure if thats true. also, on the dps doll self buffed, and going all out as unholy I do about 2500 dps. is that enough to get into naxx10 and the equivalent dungeons? or should i do heroics and gear up? what range is good for naxx 10, and is it the best place for me?

any info is appreciated!

also, in TBC, i used pvp gear with a couple of pieces of pve gear on my rogue and hunter, and i was able to always be on top of the dmg meter, usually #1 or #2. it wasnt a bad guild either, as we were halfway through the black temple, and i left before the sunwell. why is this? was there a change in regards to the usefulness of of pvp gear in pve? do i just suck as playing a dk that much?

perhaps i am missing something here, as i have only been back to wow for about 3 months, after leaveing for almost a year.

PVP gear is viable for a few pieces but as the basis for your PVE gear. Blizzard consciously made an effort to make this change.

Naxx 25 is the best bet for gear upgrades, along with VoA.
