Why do you want to join [HDL]?
I am looking for a casual raiding guild that has great human beings.

What is your guild membership history? Why did you leave or want to leave?
Was in a work guild, Plague of Terror.  99% of people stopped playing, so I left.  I then joined *shiver* Defenders of Lordaeron.  I left after having issues with the way some of their players treated others, the fact we had more canceled raids then we ever ran, and I got booted from what was to be my first ICC 10 so we could allow a DK (Already had 2) who had not signed up for the raid because he had a slightly higher GS.

What do you want from a guild?
An entertaining guild chat (for when I'm waiting around for something to happen), and to actually do a few scheduled raids.

Can you follow kill order?
I think of a kill order like Lucky Charms: Marshmallow Skulls, red crosses, pink diamonds, blue moons and orange circles.

Are you a Casual player, Raiding oriented player, or a PvP oriented player?  If you think you are a combination of any of those, what percentage of time would you spend on each?
60% Casual, 40% Raid, 10% PvP

I have not dedicated that much time to raiding since EverCrack, and I won't do that again, lol.

Only if there is punch and pie.

As long as its constructive.  If you say, "DOOD! WTF WIT UR GEAR!"  I will not repsond well.

We do require Omen and Deadly Boss Mods. Do you have these installed?
Yes

What is your primary and secondary talent build? Which do you prefer?
Primary is Prot with Secondary being Ret.  I like them both equally, but prefer Ret for raids and instances I don't know very well.

What is your rotation for your primary and secondary builds?
Prot is normally: Avenger's Shield, Holy Shield, Hammer of Rightous, Consecrate, Judgement, Taunt the mob off the Troll Rogue, repeat.  Ret is standard 969696.

Explain your gear choices, including gems and enchants.
STA/STR whenever possible, make sure I'm hit capped, and uncrittable for Prot.  STR/STA, Hit capped again, Critical Strike, Attack power, Armor Pen for Ret.

What do you think of Gearscore?
Queerscore?  Honestly its only good purpose is to make sure you don't have a 3k tank, whose armor is "waffer thin", making life miserable for the healers.

I actually use a tanking Rotation for ret as well....or not.
Standard rotation for ret is normaly FCFS or Crusader Strike, Judgement, Divine Storm, Consecrate, Exorcism, and repeat.

Melee dps is a dime a dozen, especially with pallys.  I understand and don't mind.  If there are some interesting conversations going on, that will keep me entertained. =)

You won't hear anything like that from us. You very well may receive the (constructive) criticism, though. As Vitandus already pointed out, we are heavy on Paladins - good ones, at that. There is a lot of Paladin button smashing experience, across the board spec. wise, here for you to use and learn from. Whether it is gear or glyph related, to your rotation or stat prioritization. Utilize them and you will no doubt do well.

It has a couple other uses, depending on what role you fill and its application. I agree, though, it shouldn't be a sole decision factor on a person.

When I first created Jairbrin, it was with the intention of being a tank for our guild Plague of Terror.  When everyone quit, I only had experience tanking heroic randoms.  I have found that a lot of PUG raids do not care for tanks who need to have the instance explained, so I began joining raids as DPS to better understand the mechanics of most encounters.  As most groups reward gear based on the spec you are running as, my ret gear has gotten better then my prot.  I do enjoy the challenge of tanking vs button mashing for damage.

Well, our Guild raids are quite unlike PUGs. As long as you do your homework reviewing the Boss fight mechanics, and show a will to learn and an interest to do so, I have no problem teaching you the Instance.

Your lack of ICC experience won't keep you out of Guild raids into ICC. You might not be at the top of the list for a progression raid but how else would you learn the encounters? "Proving your worth", as you mention here will come by your displayed familiarity with the encounters from reviewing the Boss abilities and common fight strategies which you can find some of on our site and all over the Internet. You can always ask me where to find something and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction.

I just wanted to give an update of my status.

On Friday, July 16th, my account was hacked and afterwards banned due to the person selling all my gear and selling my gold.  It has been a long process of communicating with Blizzard's admins, but the issue has finally been resolved.  I am still interested in joining HDL, but have not been on due to obvious issues.  I am waiting for an authenticator before I log back in as I still have no clue how this occured, but want to prevent such issues from occuring again.
 
It was was made worse because the day this occured I was very much looking forward to doing a TotC 25 at 8:30p with Hedonismbot (from a prior weeks invite). 

Anyway, just wanted to let you know.
