I just recently had to do that quest on my 4th toon :(

God I hate it.  Even with aspect of the pack on.

Mount Hyjal, you have to dismount and click on little forest animals (that make odd little sounds when grabbed.)  They are tiny and like to run away from you.  They can die in said fire, if only I didn't get delicious XP from it.

Just make a macro, "/tar panicked", run near them and use the "Interact with Target" keybind that you can set.
Play like ya got a pair.
