An HDL RS25 GDKP run?

Would you be interested in a Ruby Sanctum 25-Man GDKP run?

The idea has been brought up to begin a regular Ruby Sanctum 25-Man (RS25) GDKP run. Would you be interested in reserving your ID and joining the HDL-led RS25 GDKP run? From initial review, it looks like folks on these non-regular runs make approximately 1,000 gold at the end of the run. Of course, this is dependant on what loot drops. If a trinket doesn't drop, the take home might be lower but you will still get the opportunity to have done RS25 for the week without worrying about the "luck of the dice".

Post your thoughts, for or against! Don't forget to vote in the poll at the top of the topic!

I'm interested but my time is limited in the short term.

azhegal

i would be interested in trying this, the GDKP for ICC has always been enjoyable, so i foresee good things from this.

I was hoping this might spring up, I don't like doing PuGs and getting a little extra cash couldn't hurt.

So there is some interest. Of those that have demonstrated interest in the HDL-led RS25 GDKP run, when would you like to see it conducted?

Would you prefer to run RS25 vice ICC25 weekly, even though it will be a much lower pot (and thus much lower 'take home')?

Would you like to keep the ICC25 run and add the RS25 in somewhere? If so, what would you recommend?

I know my thoughts on these questions but I'm curious on yours!

Palinore

We should definitely keep doing ICC25 GDKP over the RS GDKP. We would benefit alot more from doing ICC for gear and money.

SoggyWaffles

It'd be nice, more badges and a little money, but shouldn't replace ICC one IMO.

ICC should stay, and tbh, since RS is a shorter raid I've got a lot of nights open. I'd be open to doing this almost any day that isn't already taken.

I think we should continue with the ICC 25 on sundays.  That being said, our only free non scheduled days are friday and saturday.  Unless we wanted to do something at an earlier time on one of our scheduled days.  A quick saturday afternoon run wouldn't be so bad however.

Considering it's one boss, and what, three items drop?  Each item would have to go for 20k to see any real return on investment for the logistics involved in that fight.  I don't think enough people have seen it for there not to be 10 wipes before a clean kill.
Play like ya got a pair.

Drya

I'd be interested in this as an addition to the ICC GDKP runs.

I worry about the difficulty of the fight and the ability to gather 25 people to execute it. I have yet to see a successful 10 man. Although I'm beginning to think 25's are easier for all instances from my experiences.

Also, the trash ... bleh ... it's like a 2 hour instance. Someone mentioned the time-to-profit ratio was nowhere near ICC, and I'd agree with that.

That said, I'd still do it. It'd be fun. And an achievement if nothing else.

Skippy

I'd be for it, I've done it on 10 a few times and a 25 GDKP the second week the raid was available.  I think it should be done alongside ICC, probably on an alternate day, though I couldn't say which.  Some of the gear that drops are BiS, and will certainly go for a lot of money.

I think we would need to be a bit more selective than we are for the ICC GDKP, though, with no buff to help out the lesser geared/performing folks.

Not that my opinion holds as much weight as the true backbone of this guild...

But I'm voting no for selfish reasons. I don't really want to give up more weekend time to raiding when James and I pretty much already lose Sunday. And sure, RS is short... but I tend to plan things to drag him to for Saturdays. And, unfortunately for me, James is a very commitment oriented person! :P
