Hey!

My pally is now level 80. I intend to make him a healadin.

You experts out there.... give me some idea about what gear and where...

My guess would be...um...plate?  With spellpower on it?
Play like ya got a pair.

I'll tell Danielle you're looking for help Dave.  I think she stacks a lot of crit and spell power.

rhaenyn

I do stack a ton of crit and spell power hehe it depends how you'd like to gear, holy pally gear is easy to acquire, although iwould suggest picking up any gear thats an upgrade I.E Mail leather and cloth, bc you shouldn't be taking many hits :)

Tessekai

I agree with Danielle (of course, since she taught me everything i know about paly heals!) But yea, I wouldn't care too much about haste, since FoL is so fast to begin with, and you always have Holy Shock to back you up.  Crit and SP are the way to go, though you obviously don't want to neglect Sta too much, because nobody likes a dead healer.

One Ear

I'll go out on a limb since pally is the one healer I have not worked up as of yet. But I think INT is the primary stat by far for pallies cause it gives crit, passive mp5 (through Replenishment and Mana Tide), and spellpower (through a talent?). Point for point, I think it actually works out to be the most useful. I know it trumps crit rating (which only effects crit).

flambe

I'm good to heal heroics now.

I'm happy.

If you take a look at Shizuru's armory, you can see how I gear. It essentially is what most people have been talking about, int, crit, sp. But you'll notice I've also stacked haste (but not gemmed into it). At first glance it may seem like 15% haste isn't much, but I also stack it with Judgements of the Pure. Basically I'm down to a near 1 second Flash of Light and a 1.5 second Holy Light with Light's Grace. This is in addition to the 32% effective crit rate while raid buffed. I see myself as more of a spot healer in raids, and can be a main tank healer where need be. Throwing out 10k heals every 1.5 seconds saves people from the brink.

And yes, int is the number one stat for pallies. Especially since I place zero focus on mp5, my only way of getting back mana is through replenishment, and divine plea. It's nice since both of those scale very well with your mana pool.

I'm not worried about it. Mortal striking me for 15 seconds while I regenerate more mana than I can with a pot? Been dealing with it in PvP for ages. I don't even blink with the 20% reduction now. Knowing when to use it makes a difference with how it affects the way you heal.
