I recently downloaded Healbot to see what the fuss was about. I used it during our OS10+1 kill, but I ended up disabling it and don't use it anymore.  I'm curious as to whether or not there was some type of special setup needed to make it work (better). I can see the basis of it, to allow for one-click heals and to know who to heal, but I felt as if my healing output was drastically reduced by using the mod. Any help here?

Nope, not really.  It's pretty much just setting up key combinations you're comfortable with and memorizing them.

This is a terrible lie designed to hurt you.  Healbot fucking sucks until you play with some very important features, so next time we're both online I'll walk you through the options you need to change over Vent!

I guess I'm missing something too then.  What else really needs to be changed?

just dropping by and since im always praising healbot heres my 2 cents :)
you can have healbot track what you can cure ( diseases, curses, magic etc) and have it change the players color on your bar so you can click and remove it way more effectivly then click and dispelling. It also illeviates having to be targetting someone to heal them so you get more heals out in less time.  the biggest help is the dispelling and one click healing imo, especially when dispelling is extremly important, i.e the heigan fight when the disease hits stupid hard.  it also isnt the only healing mod out there, if you dont like how healbot works there may be a better mod that fits you.

I just downloaded healbot as well and I too am lost on how to set it up.  My healer is not in the guild but I really want to run her with you all.  I would appreciate any help you can give me.

If I had to choose only one mod to keep for the rest of my WoW career, it would be healbot. It can be kind of confusing at first, but once you get used to it, it's a great mod.

First thing you're going to want to do is set up your spell buttons. Healbot works by letting you click on a bar that represents a party member to heal them. Different clicks (i.e. right click, left click, shift+click) can all be set up to cast different spells. To set it up the way you want it, click on the Options button at the bottom of Healbot, and under the "Spells" tab you can type in the names of spells that you want bound to different clicks.

The most IMPORTANT thing about setting up healbot is that somewhere, under one of the tabs, (I think it may be the second tab), is a checkbox that says "Smart Casting Out of Combat." Make sure you turn that off, because it will do nothing but screw you up and confuse you (it switches your click casts around when you're out of combat, which sucks).

I got together with two of our guildies last night and got healbot set up.  Oh My Gosh  where has this add on been the whole time I have been playing lol.  Dang it is nice to play with thanks guys for helping me to set it up.  I love you guys.    :-*
