HDL

I'm going on hiatus for anywhere from a couple weeks to the duration of the summer.  The fact that staying sober for a second night in a row was so difficult is proof that it's time to get my shit together and stop being an alcoholic.

Once I have a firm start on it a couple weeks from now I'll try to be on for the main raid nights (Tues/Thurs) from 8-12 and hop on vent from time to time just to keep in touch, but aside from that you're not going to see me around until everything is sorted out and I can be happy without whisky.  I'm sorry if this is likely to impede progress in Ulduar but I have to take care of myself in real life first and I have faith in someone's ability to step up and handle shit in my absence.

You know I love you guys, and I can't imagine playing WoW without HDL ever again, so rest assured I'll be back.

The most important thing in the world to the guild is for you to be healthy and happy. The game is secondary to life, brother. Mental health and physical health is important. You are an important part of HDL and will be missed, but it would be a far worse thing for us to know that you are not doing well.

Come back when you can, even if its just to say hi.

Thank you, everyone.  Your support and kind words both mean a great deal to me.  I'll do what I have to and get back just as soon as I can.

Joe,  you take care of yourself.  I know what you're going through and I can tell you you're doing the right thing.  It speaks volumes about your character that you should worry first about the impact of your leaving on the guild.  But Dave! is right, take care of yourself first;  we'll be here when you come out the other side of this.  Hell, if you need an empathetic ear, just get on vent and drag one of us into a private channel. 

Be well, Joe. I'll miss you tons while you're gone, but I'm very happy to hear that you are stepping up to to your life's obstacles and dealing with them head on. We'll be here to root for you.
